Mr. Bean's 25th aniversary

This term we had talked about humor, so I thing it's interesting to talk about this new and also I think its nice because all the othetr news are negative, so is the time to talk about something funny related with humor.

To celebrate his 25th aniversary, the famous british comedy legend Mr Bean made an unexpected return to the streets of London. Sitting in the top of his caracteristic cad he headed to Buckingham Palace to celebrate his 25 years of success in as a comedioant.

The commuters and the tourists that he run into in his funny and extravagant car looked on in surprise as Mr.Bean  (played by Rowan Atkinson) navigated the most famous roads of the city. With his antics, Mr.Bean has enjoyed a lot of fans over 190 territories around the world, and the most important is that even now, 25 years since his first chapter, he still attracting new audience.

OPINION:
It has a lot of merit to be a comediant known around the whole world, but it's also more impressive to be that during25 years. The way he celebrated it it's so original and as funny as his films and short films. Doing that, the actor (Rowan Atkinson) had demonstrated his talent because one thing is to be acting infront of a camera and other is be acting in real life. The truth is that he had done it very well and I'm sure all the persones that were there had a lot of fun, so he had accomplished his function one more time.

Two damns bursted in Brazil

The government of Brazil had classificated this scene as en environmental catastrophe. Two damns bursted at an iron ore mine. This had produced an orange sediment that is washing into the ocean all along the coastline. The contamination is not the only negative consequence of this accident, there also had been eleven deads. The brazilian president has fined the mining company with 44.000 pounds, but most of the brazilians think that's not enough and protested in their fishing

Eleven people died in the disaster earlier this month. The Brazilian President has fined the mining company more than 44,000 pounds, but some believe that doesn't go far enough and proteste d in fishing boats. This company, called Samarco, has set up berriers in ordar to contain the mud flow ahd has also been digging canals during a week to guide the sediment out to sea. The mining company saaid that the mud is not toxic, but biologists and other enviromental experts had done their own inspections and disagree.

Source: www.ondemandnews.com

OPINION:
It is an accident, and accident can happen, but not in this cases, not when we are talking about toxics and contamination of water. This is a grat disaster for Brazil, but the people who life nearby is even more affected.  I think that punish the company is not the solution, the solution would be an enhanced supervision of all those kind of companies that can trigger a chain of disasters.

Turkish aircraft shoot down a russian plane

Vladimir Putin, the russian president, said that the loss of the plane is a stab in the back by accomplices of terrorists. There is a footage that shows russian military helicopters looking for the pilot of a downed jet near syrian border. The turkish military officials and the russian president Vladimir Putin have verified that the russian warplane was shot down and it was not an accident.

Turkmen commander said that the jet was warned a lot of times before being shooted, and the reason of the shoot was that the airplane was violating their airspace.

The crew reportedly ejected from the plane before it crashed into the mountains of the north of Latakia. Putin confirmed that the plane was shot down over syrian territory by a missile from a turkish aircraft. Putin also said that the pilots and the planes weren't threatening Turkey and were only there to accomplish their duty of fight Islamic State.

OPINION:
First of all, it's a bad new because of the death of persons that shouldn't had to die. This will only  get worse the situation with the Islamic State terrorists. Hopefully the president od Russia, Vladimir Putin, had taken the necessary precautions.

The fastest skater ever!

The 24 year old skater called Zak Maytum had done the fastest skatin ever, at 112 kilometres per hour. There's a video on Youtube of him skating at this amazing speed has gone viral on Internet and had reached more than one milion views three days ago after it was uploaded. Obviously this kind of things need to be very controlled and organizated by someoene, in this case Venom Bushings was the overseer behind this insane stunt.
Justin Rouleau from the organisation said Zak Maytum was wearing padding underneath his clothes so the viewer couldn't see it on the video. In order to gain more security he also wore a helmet and a very specific shoes, with a fully customised high-performance skateboard, specially tuned for high-speed riding, so the danger was minimizated.Despite all this protections it is a very dangerous stunt and it shows that the skater Zak Maytum is one of the best professionals in the sport of downhill skateboarding because he is so talented and has a lot of experience ) more than ten years).

That's just crazy!
I'm sure doing that it's awesome, but also very dangerous. I won't do that i I could have the opportunity some day, because you need to be an expert and alsoto be a bit (or a lot) crazy, but it's nice to watch it on YouTube.

Surgery to change appearances

A man from Mississippi who had suffered injuries in his face, that was burned during an attempt of saving a woman he thought was trapped in the blaze, underwent a facial transplant in August. His name is Patrick Hardison and he was a volunteer firefighter. The burns he suffered were of third degree and were covering his entire scalp.

The surgeons spent 26 hours completing the operation. This operation is an historic one because nothing like that had never happened before, there were transplants yet, but not with this ammont of tissue transplanted in Patrik's face. The surgeons reached to remove all the scars and give to Patrik's face a normal appearance.

The operation has been a success, but the patient had waited more than a year on a donor register. It was difficult to find someone with the same blood type and with fair skin and light hair. The donor was a 26-year-old, David Rodebaugh, who died in a cycling accident.

Now Patrik has a new face, but he will have to take immunosuppressant drugs for the rest of his life so his body does not reject the donor's face

OPINION:
I think the majority of the surgery opperations are not necessari and nothing important, but in this case, I think it's a very useful thing and I also think that surgery would have to be only used in this cases.
The fact of have someone else's face has to be so weird, I don't thing if he will get used to it some day.
I also think that it is a great success for technology and it's nice that this had happened with this man because he was so courageousit's a good thing what happened with that courageous sacrificing his face to protect another person.

A kinder, gentle philosophi of success

Alain Botton talks about his idea of success.
He thinks that our lives are regularly punctuated.
Now it's easy than never before to make a good living but it has never been that hard to live without stress and free of career anxiety. One of the reasons of that it's that we're living in a world full of snobs, people that only knows a part of you and with that he makes his own visions of who you are. Principally we found this phenomen of snobbery at the job. In our society most of people onoly care about our achievements, so then we care so much about our degrees.
Another idea he explains it's that he thinks that we are no particulary materialistic, because what we want of a material good it's the emotional reward it provides, with the impression that the others will have of us, and it's that what we want, not the materialistic goods.
Another reason that makes, nowadays,be calm harder than before it'senvy. We have envy because nowadays we have equallity. For Alain, the feeling of envy is strengthly linked to the spirit of equality.

OPINION:
Alain's point of view it's quite interesting. I agree specially with the idea that he proposes that says that nowadays it's so hard to live without stress, and in part also it's because of the society in that we life. It's a society full of snobs, and people that think that know you only for your appearances or only knowing a little part of your personality.
We live in a worls that only cares about our achievements and nothing more, and that had caused so many problems in a lot of persons because averyone wants to succeed and be accepted by the others.

Plastic surgery

Nowadays the use of Botox had becomed a very common thing, but basically are women the part of the population that uses more surgery to keep their beauty. Most of the times this use of Botox is triggered by an obsession of still young, because most people think persons are most beautiful in their 30's years. There is also another factor that encourages people to use plastic surgery. This factor is the pressure of the society and it affects mostly to women, but men are also affected.

In my opinion, all this stuff is not necessary. I think that's fine people want to look better and have a nice body or a pretty face, but there is no needing to exagerate that desire and become obssessed with it. Appearances have an importance in our society and in the feleeng that our, humans, have about ourselves, that cannot be forgotten. A better appearance aloud people to be more self confident. We usually associate an appearance with a way of living of a person. It's important to have a nice appearance but there are other ways to achieve taht. For example, sport. Doing sport could be the solution instead of a lot of liposuctions, and people who do sport are in good shape and don't need plastic surgery. And it's not all about appearance, it improves the body's health, and I thing health is without any doubt more important that appearance.

Michael Phelps returning to the pool in the 2016 Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro?

Michael Phelps is the greatest swimmer ever, and also the athlete wich have won more medals in the Olympic Games. He had reterad himself of swimming in 2012 after the Olympic games, but it seems that he had come back to the swimming world and he want to be compiting in rio in this thirty first edition of this global sport event in Rio.

It seems he´s comming back, and I`m very exited about that, but he will be 31 year old in this competition. That`s a big issue because normally at this age swimmers are no more as fast as they were in their 20`s, but he is Michael Phelps and I think he can be very comepetitive even being at this "old" age in the swimming world. He started when he was only 15 year old in the Sydney`s 2000 Olympic Games being the youngest Olympic swimmer ever. His participation in Brazil`s 2016 will be Phelp`s fifth Olympic Games. If he is has been the youngest olympic swimmer of all times, why he can`t be the oldest swimmer ever too?

World Solar Challenge

Summary:
The biennial Worlds Solar Challenge starts in Darwin on 18 October and travels across country to Adelaide.
In this competition there will participate different futuristic cars powered by the Sun. The idea of this competition is to promote the research on solar-powered cars with the willing of make those cars become, in the future, a consumer product.

In this race there are several categories: challenger class (for one person cars) and cruiser class (for two seater class). Most teams are from universities but there are also teams from schools, such as Goko hig school in Japan.

Each team trusts his victory on a different factor, there are teams that get more concentrated on the aerodynamics, others on the efficiency of the solar panels. They can do the car as they want but they have to accomplish the condition that their cars are only allowed to store maximum 5k Wh of energy at a time, thus they have to obtain the rest of the energy from the Sun or from the motion of the car.

This year the IBM team will implement on his solar powered car a software that reports his driver all the weather conditions with extreme accuracy and precision. This is combined with cloud motion data from sky cameras and satellite observations and multiple other sophisticated weather prediction models. This new technology can offer forecasts with a 30% more accuracy than conventional ones. That will aloud to know where the clouds are, where they are going, and where the car should go faster in order to chase the Sun.

Opinion: this event goes forward than a simple race, it's not just that, it's a way to try new technologies in the motoring engineering. Any of the ideas the different teams that participate in the race can be applicable to the commercial cars or useful to it's development. Great brands of car's manufacture as Ford invest a lot of resources to find out sustainable ways of make cars run.

How have the roles of women changed in our society in the last 100 years?

I think the role of the women has changed in the last century. During the humankind history, at least in European culture, women had been playing the role of being an object and a complement for the man. I really don't know why this situation of women's submission was so common, I can't find a reason that could make  the persons of the past think this way.

Sometimes I wonder if could had happened the same situation but with men instead of woman, and if it had happened, what would have been the consequences then? In any case it would be a madness to approve it.

As we can see in the story of Dorian Gray, by Oscar Wilde, the main character constantly plays with women that fall in love with him, and the relationship they have has ever Dorian as the one who decides everything. About that, I thing that, perhaps, if there would have been some girl with more personality it could had helped Dorian to realize he was having a bad way of acting and living and he maybe had changed making the end of the story something totally different.

It's humor necessary?

In my opinion humor is absolutely necessary because of two main reasons: humor help you stay phisically and emotionally healthy. Now i will defend those two affirmations with scientific arguments.

First of all, humor improves your emotional health because it helps you keep a positive and optimistic outlook to face difficult situations. The best thing of humor is that, when you are with other persons, in infectious and triggers a chain of laughs. Humor has also an important role in all the societies because it binds people together and as the human being is a social animal all the stuff related with people that makes you more sociable it fundamental.

Humor is also very important for our phisical health in more than one aspect. First of all, laughter relaxes the whole body, which is very benefitial. Besides, laughter boosts the immune system, it decreases stress hormones andincreases immune cells, thus improving your resistance to disease. Laughter also triggers the release of endorphines and protects the hearth by improving the function of blood vessels and increasing your blood flow.

In conclusion, we can say that it's convenient for health to keep a little time in your daily routine for humor. It will improve your quality of life.

The Talented Mr. Ripley Book Review

Summary:

Tom Ripley is a young man who lives in America with the economical support of his auntie. A friend of him, Mr.Greenleaf, asks him to go to Europe, in Italy with his son because Mr.Greenleaf, wants his son to return to the USA. The trip to Italy and the hotel are paid by Mr.Greenleaf. It results that the son don't want to return, and Tom, that is phisycally so simile to Dickie's Greenleaf kills him in a little ship of two persons and takes his place in the world, spending his money and wearing his clothes, but for keep living Dickie's life he has to avoid Dickie's girlfriend and friends because they are able to recognize him better than the other people, so he starts to trave and awnser correctly the questions of the police about Dickie's murders as Tom Ripley. Tom has to kill a friend of Dickie and avoid be found guilty.
Finnaly Tom makes a false gives all his possessions to Tom, and in this way Tom become rich.

Opinion:

It's an original novel because the main character is not like the ones the books use to have, instead of that, he is a murderer without mercy but despite of that youy want him to succeed and to fool the police.
The plot is right but I think that if the police had done the investigations in the same waythey do in real life, they'll had found Tom guilty.

Lantern Fest

Such a beautiful thing!
It's like illuminating the night with little lights that each one had released and the lanterns together, with a small collaboration of each one become so nice and contribute to enhance the natural beauty of the night.
Most people also can write a wish or something they like and after launch it in the sky.
I love the sentence added at the beginning of the video, it makes all this more special and inspiring.
The only problem I see doing this is that I don't know where they will end up, maybe they will become trash...

Human catapullt

This human bungee slingshot it's Simply amazing!
I don't know who has invented this, but sure he was crazily fun! And the first one to try it even more. It has to be a shot of adrenaline when the rope is maximum tensed and the quad releases you. I don't know how much fast you go at the beginning but it has to be so fast. Your must feel like flying and sure that more than one had imagined that will crash against the mountain.

Go Further-Walking for the fisrt time!

This video shows a great act of solidarity. There's a group of people helping others that had problems with their legs caused mostly by an accident that can not walk any more. It includes child and old people, they all had been helped with a protesis they cannot afford.
The best of this fact is that they had returned the desire of continue living to people that was depressed and thought that they won't be able to walk again. And now they are not only able to walk, they can also run.

Nazi Reality Show

Reallity shows often put contestants in uncomfortable positions, but in the Czech Republic, TV producrs are taking that idea to the extreme. A new series called "Holiday in the Protectorate" sees a family of seven experience what it was like to live under Nazi occupation. The show's creator says she wrote it in memory of her grandparents.
Around the world, the idea has attracted plenty of criticism but in the Czech Republic, viewers are curious. The creator says the programme will show young people what living in that time was like. The majority of young people don't have a clue about what happened.
So why would anyone want to live under Nazi occupation? Well, the family will milion Czech Koruna, around 26,000 pounds, if they can endure two months of hardship and Nazi interrogation.

criticism: to say oppinion of good and bad things

A lioness has mauled a tourist to death in a game reserve in South Africa. The 22 year-old American had been photographing the lioness from the car with the window down when the animal attacked her at the game reserve. The reserve was located 20 north of Johanesburg.
The lioness walked so slowly towards the car and stopped roughly a metre away. The lion then sort of lunged at the car and it bit the lady throught the window. The staff of the reserve immediately rushed over to chase the lion away.

Wise quotes 3

"So rather than risk saying the wrong thing, I said nothing"
-Patrick Rothfuss, The Wise Man's Fear.

This is a very wise quote because it's true that sometimes it's better think before talk and say nothing instead say something that can be inappropriate or prejudicial. It's something so simple but many people do the opposite. So it's a useful tip.

"Are you angry because I lied to you, or because you have not caught me lying to you?"
-Patrickk Rothfuss, The Name of The Wind

I really like this quote, because it's ingenious and that it says it's true. Always it's worse the effect that you weren't able to discover someone was lying than the fact he lied.
In the context of the book it's perfect and it gives to the character who said it a perspicacious and astute point.

Driving licence-What's the best age?

Hello, as you probably know, the law that decides the age you have to have for get the driving licence and drive a car is different  depending of the state. There are ones in that the age is 18 and others in that the age is 16. What I think that have more sense?

Well, I think that's better wait until the 18 years because you are an adult, or at least you are supposed to. There are many of traffic accidents and there are a lot of 16 childish teenagers that can be dangerous for himself and for the others. I think it's a better moment because probably a person that haves 18 years has been driving a motorbike since his 16, so this person haves more experience and is ready to drive a car that is more dangerous.

But anyway maybe there can be persons who at their 14 years can drive a car in a intelligent and safety way and persons with a lot of experience who drive drunk and causes damage as well.

Podcast description

There is the link where you can find my podcast. Description of Southern California

Gap year in Southern California (Description)

Southern California is a very nice place to spend a gap year. It's a country with a rich and diverse geography. There are alpine mountains, foggy coastlines and hot deserts. There are the world's tallests, most massive and oldest trees.
The state is divided into Northen and Southern California, but the boundary between them is not well defined, but San Francisco is on the Northen California and Los Angeles in Southern California.
There are many beaches for surfing, bathing, and do more activities. The background along all the coast its so impressive and happens  the same with the mountain.
California's climate varies widely, from Mediterranean to subartic, depending on latitude elevation and proximity to the coast. Coastatal and Southern parts of the state have a Mediterranean climate, it means there are rainy winters and dry summers. The influence of the ocean generally moderates temperature extremes, crating warmer winters and cooler summers, especially along the coastal areas.

World's largest rope swing

Hi, I saw a video on YouTube that was about a group of young people that constructed their own rope swing. It's just amazing and so exiting. The jumping must be terryfing but the swing it's so fun. After the video I saw another video in that they explainted more things about this epic rope swing.
They said it's a free fall of 130 meters and the shoot back up is abuot anothers 100 meters. Your swing not stop for at least 20 seconds. Tey had costructed it un 2 hours and after that they must look over to make sure that nobody dies, so they make a several tests and they also felt a whole bag full of rocks to make sure it was safety.
Well, finnaly they did it and they didn't have problems. It's a very nice thing to do and a very exiting experience but only if you have the correct equipment and experience.

Sandboard in New Zealand

Hello, I saw a video from a hannel of yutube that I follow in that there were people doing what they called "sandboard".
It consists in go oto a very big sand dune with some objects to descend it so fast. I tyryed it sometimes when I was little but obviously it was not the same. Do it with a big sand dune has to be amazing and a fun experience. And they also do it in a very nice place as New Zealand. And it's also nice because if you fall in the descens it's not too dangerous, so you can enjoy it without to much worry. I sometime I go to some place wits great dunes i'll do it.

I like the sandboarding and the realization of the vido you can see straightaway.

Youtubers in the present generation

The generation of the 80's  has been grew up with the firsts cartoons and when they get teenagers the watched tv series. But nowadays, although  the tv has also an important influene on the generations there is another soure of entretainment coming from youtube. Every time there are more teenager and child that follow youtuber's channels. The youtuber is a person thet has decided to dedicate a part of his time doing things, recording them and share tem in youtube. The content that this called "youtubers" is mainly humor, reflections about anything of the life, pranks, gameplays(they play and do funny things wit a videogame and they record it), and sketches. There are a lot of this channels of youtube whose creators can earn a living from their videos. Some of those youtubers have millions of subscribers in their channels, the biggest channel in the world have more than 33 millions of subscribers. They get the money from publicity and advertising.

Personally I think that it's a good think because everyone with tallent, charisma or some special quallity can have an opportunity over the macroindustries of the tv and be independent. But I think that the better section is the ones that make humor or content, or skethes, because there are  lot of useless videos that only take time of your life.

Spot the robot dog

SUMMARY:

A new robot dog called "Spot" has been created by Boston Dynamics. This new robot is able to navigate rough terrain and office cubicles alike. This robotic creation similar (in the form) to a dog, runs on an electric motor that powers a series of hydraulics, the motors responsible for ontrolling the movement of a mehanical system.
Spot can walk indoors, he can climb stairs and he can also run.  It have a sensors that helps it navigate and walk.

OPINION:

I do not think the rason they had created this. I do not find any useful use of it, but it's impressive and nie. Maybe this is useful not for the robot tyhey had created but for improve our technological skills.

Man can see again

SYNOPSIS:

A blind man from Minnesota has been able to see for the firsty time in 10 years. The doctors provied him of  bionic eye. This man is 68-year-old and he began losing his sight around twenty years ago because of a degenertive and incurable eye disease, so he loses his job in the 2005 because ha was not able to see enough, and every time his sight was worse. Now he is able to make out shapes in human forms. Mr Zderad was fitted  with a seond sight implant which bypasses the damanged retina and sends light wave signal to the optic nerve and he has also an electronic chip embedded in his right eye which works in conjunction with the prosthetic decive set in  pair of special glasses.

OPINION:

I think that's a great new beause it shows the advantadges of the new technology. But I do not think that this new technology will be able for everyone in a short period of time, it's only a solution for the richests mans. Although it's very unpleasant to have a bionic eye, because I think it can give you a lot of problems, as airports controlls, problems with the wather, or with the batttery, I think it's a great progress in the medicine ambit.

Words learned: bionic (electronic), degenerative (to get worse and worse), groundbreacking (new and grat), embed (to put something somewhere), in onjunction (together), prosthetic device (something which doctors give to replace an original body part).

Venezuelan police killed a boy

SUMMARY:

A policeman has shot a teenage boy in an anti government protest in Venezuela. Over 20 people clashed with police4 in a demostration over political unrest and the country's worsering economic crisis. The 14-year-old boy wa caught uo in the violence and a policeman shot him with a rubber bullet. The boss of the citizen security said the teen died in confusing cicumstances and the police officer has been arrested.
The police officer said tht they were been attacked with stones, that the people were throwing against them.
The boy died on his way to the hospital.

OPINION:

It's a very delicated situation because I thinkj that the police officer didn't kill the boy because he wanted, but he did. So he has to fulfill the law and be arrested. But It doesn't has to happen because the pòlice has to watch over for the civil and not kill them. This means thst some policemans re not qualified enough for do well his job, because they are suposed to have a good control of the guns the use.
