Olympic torch lit

The 4th of may of 2016, four days ago, the Olympic torch begun its journey to Rio de Janeiro. In Olympia, where every year takes place the starting ceremony of the olympics torch relay, there was the opening event in which an actress playing a hig priestess used the sun's rays and parabolic mirror to light the torch, and she also offered a mock prayer to Apollo, the God of light and music in the ancient Greece culture. While she was holding an olive branch, she lit the relay torch held by a Brazilian artistic gymnast.

The "journey" of the olympic torch will last six days, and it will travel around 329 cities around the world before ending at the opening ceremony of the Olympics in Rio on 5th August.

Brazil has to face difficult times, and the brazilian president, Dilma Rousseff, faces impeachment. The crisis has paralysed the country's ability to revive its economy from recession. And there are more problems, for example, preparations for the Games have been had a lot of problems and a shortage of cash.

This is the 80th anniversary of the torch relay, the first one took place ahead of the 1936 Olympics inBerlin.

Four orcs rescued in the east of Russia

In the east of Russia, a group of rescue workers braved freezing waters to save four orcas that were trapped in the ice. The orcas got stucked in the ice during the night.

The rescue team took a small boat to reach the whales, that were at 50 or 100 meters away from the coastline. They removed the ice to create gaps big enought to aloud the whales swim throught them. The rescue team was working during several hours and they managed to get three of the four whales, one of those three was a calf, to open waters.

The rescuers stayed with the fourth orca in order to protect it fromthe ice until higher waters allowed it to join the other orcas

Human rights

1.- What are human rights?
Human rights are the fundamental rights that humans have by the fact of being human, and that are neither created nor can be abrogated by any government.

2.-When and why were they created?
Human rights were created in 1945 in New York by the United Nations. They were created in order to examine the underlying basis of the concept of human rights and critically looks at its content and justification. Thee human rights pretended to preserve those elemental things a person needs to live with dignity. Basically they defend freedom, justice and peace.

3.- How many human rights are there?
There are 30 human rights.

4.- Which human rights were you not familiar with?
I was not familiar with human rights like the 15th. one, that says that everyone has the right to a nationality and neither shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality nor denied the right to change his nationality, the 17th. that says that everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others and that no one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property, and the 28th, that says that everyone is entitled to a social and international order in which the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration can be fully realized.

Now, I want to talk about the right of freedom to move, that protects freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state, and the right of leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.

This is a necessary right if we want real freedom to exist, because no one is truly free if he is obligated to stay forever somewhere. It seems so normal to us, the persons who live in the developed countries, traveling always to different places and go visit another countries. For us there is ever the chance of going abroad if we need or want it, but unfortunately this is only for a small part of human, the rest can not travel anywhere they want. The worse is that is not about a privation of going on holidays, those are people that need to change their lives and they only will have an opportunity in another country.

Officially no one says that people can not travel, so no one can protest against that, because the law will say that is not true that they forbid people to travel. And that is the worse, because there is a detail that makes the difference and is that only people with money can travel. Even if a poor person decides going to live in another country and he decides to do not take any transport (so then he won't waste his money) he would not be accepted in the new country for legal issues. There is a lot of people that has the needing of emigrating but they can't. This is a tough situation and it gets worse when mafias of prostitution and smuggling take profit of this persons offering them a way to leave their countries. Obviously those are very bad offers but those persons have not another option ant take those opportunities that would not take if there really was a real freedom to movement.

Music

In this post I want to talk about the importance that music has in our lifes.

Music is, first of all, an expression of everyone's character and personality, it's a way to understanding our feelings and made it become something we can listen to. Music plays with emotions, with happy or melanconic feelings, music can make you feel exited or serene, among another moods. Music is usefull also to connect a group of persons between them, or make us forget temporally our problems. Sometimes it also helps us to affront this problems and not only to avoid them. Sometime a nice song is the only thing able to make a bad day become bearable.

Well, I think it is a very important part of our lifes, also if we don't realize that and instead of that we consider music a common thing, when in fact is one of the greatest things we have, because it will walk with us all along our lifes.

New ways of leisure time

Nowadays, with the progress of technology, our ways of living have been affected and had suffered a lot of changees. One of them is that now, a lot of people has the  chance to say something and be listened by lots of persons.
The first thinck that appeared was the TV. Now the people, specially the youth and the children dedicate most of their spare time to YouTube or Internet in general isted of TV. This is an important change, because, also if it can same similar, YouTube has only a few things in common with TV. The main difference is that on the Internet people can say what they want, or almost that, because you are the only responsable of yor acts and in the TV programs there is a very strict way of acting and the shows they offer have not the freedom that Internet offers. So that's a positive thing because the persons who offer entretaining and humoristic content will follow their own rules and in consequence their creations will be better and more original. This new kind of entretainment estimulates more the creativity and above everything the factor that makes it an attractive point is that there is a huge diversity of content.

In conclusion, I thinck that the classical ways of entretaining are changing and evolving and everytime there are new possibilities.

Strange sports

In the world there are a lot of sports. Many of them had becomed famous, such as football, swimming, baseball, volleybal, etc. But there are also a lot of unknown and are minority, but between them there are ones that are really originals or weird. Those are sports that don't seem nothing serious, but most of them even have a World Championship, and they also are older than what one imagines.

Those are my top three strange and unknown sports:

In third place there is the sport called "Wife carrying", originated in Finland. This sport needs the participation of a lot of teams of two persons. Those teams are couples and the man has to carry his woman (or girlfriend, because is not required to be legally married) on his back and run through obstacles along the way. The rules are that the team who finishes faster the course wins, but if the man drops his partner, five seconds will be added to their time.
I thinck this sport can seem a bit chauvinist, but it's also is true that the couples have to cooperate and understand each other if they want to win, so it can be interesting and funny.

In second place I put the sport called Cycleball. This sport is a competition between teams of two, played on bicycles with no breaks. The goal of the players is to get the ball into the goal using only their wheels and their heads, they cannot use the hands, exept when they are deffending.
I's similar to football, and it has to be impractical to have a bike disturbing you, because is difficult to score a goal inly using the wheels instead of your own foots. I tried something similar to that with some friends when I was little and it was so fun, but I thinck that is better have balls and bicycles separated, because they don't combine especially well.

Finnally, the first one is Underwather Hockey, a sport in which two teams compete to manoeuvre a puck across the bottom of a swimming pool into the opposing team's goal moving it with a kind of pusher. Is so similar to hockey, but in this case in very important the apnea, that alouds you to be underwather more time and that gives you an important advantage. I've seen people playing this sport a lot of time in the swimming pool and maybe one day I'll try it, bot only for have fun, bacause I thing that swimming is a better way to use a swimming pool.

A new discovery of the past has been found by the archaeologists. The discovery was a medieval ship from a Dutch riverbed where this piece of history had lain beneath for half a millennium and no one had noticed it until now.

The ship was discovered by some construction workers during an underwater investigation whilst preparing to excavate the port. The vessel is believed to have been a trading ship, used to sail the Baltic and North Seas. The wreck was Built with metal joints, and is strudier than a lot of other contemporany finds.
They encased the ship, that is so big (20-metre by 8-metre) in a specially constructed metal frame, raising all 40 tons from the water with the help of experienced divers, and the delicate remains will be kept at the Newell and Heritage Centre in a specially designed station keeping it wet at all times.
